Introduction To Clinical Pharmacology:
From Symptoms To Treatment
The idea that world experts in medical research and education can be invited and teamed up to summarize their knowledge and experience in a textbook was exciting. The book has to be an evidence-based breakdown from symptoms to treatment to give the readers a guided understanding of how practicing physicians think when facing symptoms and determining treatments. This project was completed in the summer of 2023 and the textbook "Introduction to Clinical Pharmacology: From Symptoms To Treatment" (Edited by Victor Uteshev, PhD; Daniel Llano, MD/PhD; and Edward Shadiack, DO) is now published and can be obtained either from the publisher website:

This textbook is an invited contribution of world experts in medical research and education. Each chapter is built around patient presentation advancing from symptoms through diagnosis to treatment as anticipated in clinical practice. As a result, this textbook provides concise, focused information on pharmacological treatments and mechanisms of action as related to specific symptoms and patient presentation. Each chapter is followed by relevant cases and questions with answers and detailed explanations. The prime target audience includes medical students preparing for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COM LEX) in the United States and similar exams offered in other countries, pharmacy students, pharmacology and physiology students, practicing physicians and pharmacists, and premedical students preparing for medical school. Thus, the readers are given a guided presentation of how practicing physicians think when facing symptoms and determining treatments.
